One evening when I met Karan in IIT, Delhi. He called me on my friend’s phone and I told him that there is a satsang happening in IIT. This is how we met in satsang...Then he told me that you are coming to drop me and as usual I said YES. Then on the way we dropped Monica at her house and we went ahead to reach our destination which was Trikona Park, which is in Malvia Nagar.
As soon as I went inside I saw Karan's parents and his sister with his masi, uncle and his cousin sister. First her mom introduced me to all of them.. Then suddenly the environment changed and even the thoughts in the mind of the people sitting over there changed...........Then Karan's mom told both of us to sing one bhajan. While coming back from IIT to Trikona Park, Karan said to me that he wanted to sing "Radhe Radhe Shyam." So I started singing then Karan joined as well his mom and dad joined... then from Radhe Radhe Shyam we moved onto Gulabi Aankhen, Pal Pal har pal, few Punjabi songs, old hindi songs as well a new tracks such as Gendha Phool....
It was not only about singing. Me, Karan and his Parents were dancing as well... Let me tell you, we had a ball of a time.... As we say in YES!+ Fun weds Learning. I learned many things regarding singing... Karan and his whole family including his masi, uncle and cousin sisters they all sing amazingly well... Which goes with their nature, that’s what I felt?
For me this was one of the experiences which I will remember and I know even you all would like to experience it... So whenever you get a chance become aware and have lots of FUN.....
When I saw U, I knew that U will be mine, Your image is the reflection of my soul, This is bcoz of faith I have in U.....
There is still a long way to go, This is just a start of our journey, There will be few dark days, As well as bright days, But i know U will be always there......
You have taken my heart away, You have changed my life...... You are like our mother and We are your child, U are always there with us all the time.......
Guruji was sitting at someone's house and all were watching Mahabharat. In the episode Guruji commented on Krishna's dialogue..... Guruji said "Maine toh aisa nahin kaha!"
It is so pleasant to hear that Guruji still remembers what he said......
Just Say Om sits in meditation, basically it is one kind of self-initiation, the non-medicine consciousness distinguished state. Sits in meditation the relaxation to be possible to create each physiological change, including oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide elimination quantity, respiratory rate, heart rate, muscle tensity and nerve active reduction, and dermal resistance and sympathetic nerve active elevation. Controls one's breathing is one relaxation method which the Chinese practices widely, it stressed that centralism all attentions in the breath, by the pressure relief, increase self-alert and have the happy feeling, pressure relieving is helpful with the happy feeling's production to autonomic nervous system's balanced.
Human body 90% above body and mind activity depending on autonomic nerves regulation, but we actually do not know oneself, the central nervous system (brain) sends the number order, carries out the willpower, bodily each organ according to the number execution, the autonomic nerves comes between is responsible for the news transmission and strengthens various organs activity according to the demand; If you often think lack the ability to do what one would like, should from strengthen the autonomic nerves function start. Human when sitting in meditation depth rest condition, the body is at constant condition (Homeostasis), this time the stable body temperature, the blood pressure, the palpitation, the heart output and the breath mainly (Negative Feedback) maintain depending on in vivo negative back coupling, but the autonomic nerves is these back coupling mechanism main performer. Lively and the perfect autonomic nerves metabolism speed trimming just right, will give people a hard time thought that the god fresh air will be crisp. (picks from: The HRV keeping in good health discusses the artistic collection) More and more scientific evidence demonstrated that sits in meditation has cures recovers ability. Many large-scale research projects continue not to fall, American Country Health Research institute (NIH) even allocates funds 8,000,000 US dollars for Iowa Ma Hexu the medical school, the research sits in meditation.
The people sit in meditation the motive already relaxed from the early pursue pressure, transfers diseases and so on prevention, postponement or control hypertension, heart disease, migraine, constant pain even cancer. The early well-known research began in 1960 the last stage, Harvard Medical school heart scientist Bahnson trains the patient to sit in meditation every day 20 minutes, finally the patient blood pressure reduced, the palpitation number of times to reduce, the oxygen consumption were usually less than 17%, the carbon dioxide and the blood serum lactic acid quantity secretion reduces. Promotion immunity protection cardiovascular..
Its amazing to see when I posted the article in chinese it requires less space and the same article when translated in chinese it requires so much of space....... Thats the reason why chinese always go for small things............. 谢谢 ( Thank You )
People should have one meat-free day a week if they want to make a personal and effective sacrifice that would help tackle climate change, the world's leading authority on global warming has told The Observer, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which last year earned a joint share of the Nobel Peace Prize, said that people should then go on to reduce their meat consumption even further.
His comments are the most controversial advice yet provided by the panel on how individuals can help tackle global warning.
Pachauri, who was re-elected the panel's chairman for a second six-year term last week, said diet change was important because of the huge greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental problems - including habitat destruction - associated with rearing cattle and other animals. It was relatively easy to change eating habits compared to changing means of transport, he said.
The UN's Food and Agriculture Organisation has estimated that meat production accounts for nearly a fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions. These are generated during the production of animal feeds, for example, while ruminants, particularly cows, emit methane, which is 23 times more effective as a global warming agent than carbon dioxide. The agency has also warned that meat consumption is set to double by the middle of the century.
'In terms of immediacy of action and the feasibility of bringing about reductions in a short period of time, it clearly is the most attractive opportunity,' said Pachauri. 'Give up meat for one day [a week] initially, and decrease it from there,' said the Indian economist, who is a vegetarian.
However, he also stressed other changes in lifestyle would help to combat climate change. 'That's what I want to emphasise: we really have to bring about reductions in every sector of the economy.'
Pachauri can expect some vociferous responses from the food industry to his advice, though last night he was given unexpected support by Masterchef presenter and restaurateur John Torode, who is about to publish a new book, John Torode's Beef. 'I have a little bit and enjoy it,' said Torode. 'Too much for any person becomes gluttony. But there's a bigger issue here: where [the meat] comes from. If we all bought British and stopped buying imported food we'd save a huge amount of carbon emissions.'
Tomorrow, Pachauri will speak at an event hosted by animal welfare group Compassion in World Farming, which has calculated that if the average UK household halved meat consumption that would cut emissions more than if car use was cut in half.
The group has called for governments to lead campaigns to reduce meat consumption by 60 per cent by 2020. Campaigners have also pointed out the health benefits of eating less meat. The average person in the UK eats 50g of protein from meat a day, equivalent to a chicken breast and a lamb chop - a relatively low level for rich nations but 25-50 per cent more than World Heath Organisation guidelines.
Professor Robert Watson, the chief scientific adviser for the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, who will also speak at tomorrow's event in London, said government could help educate people about the benefits of eating less meat, but it should not 'regulate'. 'Eating less meat would help, there's no question about that, but there are other things,' Watson said.
However, Chris Lamb, head of marketing for pig industry group BPEX, said the meat industry had been unfairly targeted and was working hard to find out which activities had the biggest environmental impact and reduce those. Some ideas were contradictory, he said - for example, one solution to emissions from livestock was to keep them indoors, but this would damage animal welfare. 'Climate change is a very young science and our view is there are a lot of simplistic solutions being proposed,' he said.
Last year a major report into the environmental impact of meat eating by the Food Climate Research Network at Surrey University claimed livestock generated 8 per cent of UK emissions - but eating some meat was good for the planet because some habitats benefited from grazing. It also said vegetarian diets that included lots of milk, butter and cheese would probably not noticeably reduce emissions because dairy cows are a major source of methane, a potent greenhouse gas released through flatulence.
If still not satisfied then look at this video, U will only regret that what am I doing..........
This is what the current congress government is doing for getting the muslim votes. We don’t want such a government in power. Now there are criminals who are ruling the country and after this terrorist will rule over INDIA. Spread the message.
The UPA’s weird ideas on affirmative action to appease its vote bank have taken yet another absurd leap. The latest is to make madrasa certificates equivalent to CBSE.
According to news reports, the Union Human Resources Ministry is all set to grant madrasa certificates equal status with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) so that it would help in mainstreaming the students coming out of these Islamic religious schools. It is not clear if the government is also planning either to downgrade the CBSE curricula or upgrade the madrasa menu to make the two certificates academically compatible. But there is no doubt that it is a crude joke on millions of hard-working students who burn their mid-night oil to clear the tough Board examinations.
The unkindest cut is that the plan is to implement the disastrous move with retrospective effect. It is widely believed that the madrasas are the nurseries of terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism in India. If mainstreaming is the real concern, better schools should have been established in Muslim localities and persuaded the Muslim children to get enrolled in them. Already the government has introduced a series of incentives to get the minorities more literate and enhance their competence to compete in the higher levels. Many of these incentives are denied to children of the majority community though they are equally under privileged both educationally and economically. Perhaps it is a crime under the UPA to be born in the majority community and to be poor. The pampering of the minorities, in a manner as to discriminate citizens on religious lines against the tenets of the Constitution or affirmative social action has no legal sanction. But it has been proved to be politically rewarding for the ruling clique.
Though the centre has been distributing hundreds of crores every year to modernise the madrasas they have refused to either modernise or streamline. They have also been resisting any attempt to persuade them to adopt some portions of the modern syllabi in their curriculum. The maulavis have often issued fatwas against any attempt at modernisation in these institutions though they have no qualms in receiving huge grants from the tax-payers’ money. As a result, these madrasas have become islands of superstition, fundamentalism and divisive activities misleading the children in their formative years to resist all modern and scientific outlook and integration with the rest of the society. Again if mainstreaming was a concern, the centre should have asked the madrasas either to close down or limit themselves to religious teaching making any certificates issued by these fanatic institutions invalid. But the UPA seems to have other ideas. It perhaps wants to encourage the mushrooming of madrasas across the length and breadth of the country and make them breeding grounds for social disaffection.
Already at least three universities — Jamia Hamdard, Jamia Millia and Aligarh University—have recognised certificates from madrasas for admission to post-graduate courses. The HRD Ministry has insisted that the UGC must enforce the criteria on other universities as well. But some universities are resisting the move. Finally, the UGC has set up a committee to look into the matter. On government records there are half a million madrasas active across the country. Unofficially, it is estimated that there are at least a million madrasas and their number is increasing every year with liberal funding from Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia.
The UPA claims that its anxiety is the result of the Prime Minister’s 15-point programme for minorities and that it is one of the key recommendations of Sachar Committee. Taking the Sachar cover the government is already making generous contribution to minority education. And they are highly discriminatory to Hindu students. For instance, Hindu students get education loans at a rate of 13 per cent whereas the minority students get it for just three per cent interest from National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation under Finance Ministry. To start a business a Hindu youth will get a loan at 15 to 18 per cent from banks after arranging 15 per cent margin money. But a Muslim youth has to arrange only five per cent of project cost from his private sources and will get the rest of 35 per cent of the loan from NMDFC at three per cent interest and the balance 60 per cent from commercial bank at two per cent. To ensure Muslim students admission in the top institutions like IIMs, IITs and AIIMS the entire fees is being given by the government. To prepare them for this and other public service tests the entire coaching fee is given by the government. The students are also given a pocket money from the tax-payers’ kitty. The UPA has also announced lakhs of scholarships only for minority students. All these are denied to Hindu students. Now, the discrimination is total, with the centre making madrasa certificate equivalent with the hard-earned CBSE certificate. Should all the Hindu students leave government and public schools and join madrasas for a simple and cost-effective qualifying certificate? Or is the UPA determined to destroy the higher education in the country?
I arrived in Delhi on 26th February. Early morning at 5:30 am. The march was on 1st of march and I came early bcoz I wanted to do seva for march in march.
My first day of seva:- I had an amazing time through out the day. But there is one thing due to lack of public transport or it is not proper, travelling becomes hectic over here. In the whole day Me, Pallavi and Vishal bhaiya travelled around 5 hours on bike. But still it was worth bcoz I heard Dinesh da's talk in Amity University. It was mind blowing and an eye opener for others. After that much of travelling, It became the part of my daily routine including padam sadhna and kriya. I use to and I still remember all my friends from Mumbai and sometimes I use to cry.
2nd day:- I went out with few new volunteers Abhishek, Ananya and Rajshree. We had to spread this message regarding March in March to maximum number of people. So we got instructions from Upasna didi, and we all decided to goto the Metro bcoz on an average 50 to 60,000 people travel in metro on daily basis.. This was going to be my first visit in metro, I was very excited. Then we went to Delhi university and we went to Nerulas there we had Chocolate Fudge and it was amazing. I just loved it. Then we started telling people over there in DU (Delhi University) which is huge. Including DU and CP which is in Rajiv Chowk are the 2 happening places in Delhi. This is how I did seva for the rest of the 2 days and it was fun.
Then 1st Macrh:- We reached the Parliament Street at 11:30 am and there were few volunteers and we were setting up the stalls for t-shirts and registerations. Basically it was a get together of all the volunteers and Bau and Dinesh da were looking fantastic. It was out of the blue, i cant even explain. Then the speeches started and Me and Neha jain were cleaning the whole road like we use todo in Mumbai "The Clean up Campaign." It was great and we had a ball of a time. There were aroung 10,000 of us and we started marching. We were going towards the India Gate. We all were shouting "Vande Matram". Then we reached India Gate and we sat over there we started singing patriotic songs and we also did satsang over there and closed our eyes for 2min bcoz of the terror attacks which happen in Mumbai and then we walked silently took one round of India Gate. Its just en experience to be over there. Those who were not there can grab this video and feel the energy..
Anyways I hope this thing should go on and on from our side and we as a youth should take a proper and rational action against all this whats happening. Say No to Corruption and Terrorism....

A son says to his father: 'Dad, would you be willingly to run a marathon with me?'
The father, despite his age and a heart disease, says 'YES'. And they run that marathon, together.
The son asks: 'Dad, can you run another marathon with me?' Again father says 'YES'.
They run another marathon, together.
One day the son asks his father: ?Dad would please do the Iron Man with me?'
Now just in case you wouldn't know, 'The Iron Man' is the toughest triathlon in existence; 4km swimming, then 180 km by bike, and finally another 42 km running, in one stroke.
Again father says 'YES'
Maybe this doesn't 'touch' you yet by heart ... until you see this movie (put on sound!)
Have you heard the one about the fat-forming carbohydrate? Ten such myths have been covered below:
Myth: Eating most of your calories in the evening promotes weight gain. Fact: No matter when you eat them, you gain weight when you eat more calories than you burn off. However, mindless munching in front of the TV at night can push calorie intake over the top.
Myth: Fat free is calorie free. Fact: Some people indulge in extra-large servings of fat-free foods, such as cookies, cakes and crackers, without realizing that these foods may contain the same amount or even more calories than regular versions. Get the facts on fat-free foods by checking food labels for the serving size and number of calories per serving. Fruits and vegetables are naturally low in fat and calories. However, other low fat or no fat foods may still contain a lot of calories. To make such foods taste better, extra sugar, flour, or starch thickeners are usually added. These ingredients are high in calories and may lead to weight gain.
Myth: Carbohydrates (or sugars) cause weight gain. Fact: Carbohydrates do not cause weight gain unless they contribute to excess calorie intake. The same holds true for protein and fat. Findings from the National Weight Control Registry show that people who successfully maintain weight loss tend to eat diets that are higher in carbohydrates and lower in fat, in addition to watching their total calorie intake. However, some people who eat a diet that is extremely high in carbohydrates and low in protein and fat get hungry sooner, which may trigger overeating.
Myth: High-protein diets cause ketosis, which reduces hunger. Fact: Ketosis occurs when fat is used as an energy source instead of carbohydrate during a high-protein diet. Ketone bodies are produced, which turn your breath a bad “fruity” odor. Ketone bodies do not reduce appetite, however, eating sufficient protein for your body type can help reduce hunger and support weight loss.
These diets may help you lose weight fast – but most of this weight that you lose would constitute water weight and lean muscle weight instead of fat. The best way to lose weight and keep it off without harming your body is by following a reduced-calorie diet that is well balanced between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
Myth: Yoghurt is the perfect diet food. Many dieters swear by it, but some yoghurt can be as fattening as ice cream. Greek yoghurt has 10 pc fat. Fact: Yoghurt is good for people of all ages. Yoghurt is also important for those wanting to lose weight. As a milk product, yoghurt is naturally rich in calcium. Research shows that calcium helps reduce weight gain. Even small changes in the calcium levels of fat cells can change signals within the cell that control the making and burning of fat. What needs to be remembered is no one food is going to prove magic, it is a combination of effective diet and exercise plan that will really work. Avoid yoghurt that contains added sugars or sweetened fruit, as these upset the delicate chemical balance that allow the cultures to thrive. Sugars also feed the growth on unwanted yeasts, so you’re better off without it!
Myth: Exercise makes you eat more. Often people shy away from doing exercise using this excuse. Fact: However, research has shown that after 20 minutes of exercise people ate no more than those who had done nothing. The only difference was that those who had exercised thought the food tasted better.
Myth: Extra protein makes you strong. Fact: The body has tremendous reserves and is very adaptive. The idea that you have to eat specified foods in specified amounts every day to maintain performance is unsound. You do not need to starve yourself to lose weight. When we are active, our body uses its own fat and carbohydrate for fuel. A diet that includes animal and vegetable protein supplies all the body needs to replenish its stores. There is no superdiet for super performance. Besides, high protein diet often lack key nutrients found in carbohydrate foods. You need every kind of food. Avoiding any kind of food is just as wrong as ingesting food supplements.
Myth: Lettuce makes your figure slim. Fact: The theory adopted behind this fact is that, you can eat a food with low energy density, such as lettuce, and consume a huge amount for few calories. This belief is true to some extent as lettuce leaves practically do not contain calories. A tablespoon of butter has the same number of calories as 10 cups of leaf lettuce. However, generally they are not eaten alone and most lettuce sauces are high in fat.
Research suggests that losing ½ to 2 pounds a week by making healthy food choices, eating moderate portions, and building physical activity into your daily life is the best way to lose weight and keep it off. By adopting healthy eating and physical activity habits, you may also lower your risk for developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
Myth: You can burn fat by eating certain foods, like grapefruit and cabbage soup. Fact: The grapefruit diet requires you to eat half a grapefruit before every meal to reap the benefits of the fruit's so-called fat-burning enzymes. Calories typically are limited to fewer than 800 a day, although some versions require that you eat until you are full. Grapefruit has no fat, is low in calories and sodium, and is packed with vitamin C. But the very low calories — and deficits in protein, fiber and several important vitamins and minerals — can make this diet dangerous. Similarly, the cabbage soup diet proponents report feeling lightheaded and weak because the diet is too low in protein, vitamins and complex carbohydrates. You may lose weight, but you'll probably be too queasy to enjoy it. Remember, no foods can burn fat. Caffeine-rich foods may speed up your metabolism rate for a short time. However, they do not cause any weight loss. The best way to lose weight is to reduce the number of calories you eat and increase your physical activities.
Myth: Processed foods are not as nutritious as fresh foods. Fact: Many processed foods are just as nutritious or in some cases even more nutritious than fresh foods depending on the manner in which they are processed. Frozen vegetables are usually processed within hours of harvest. There is little nutrient loss in the freezing process so frozen vegetables retain their high vitamin and mineral content. In contrast, fresh vegetables are picked and transported to market. It can take days or even weeks before they reach the dinner table and vitamins are gradually lost over time no matter how carefully the vegetables are transported and stored.
Some processed foods, such as breads and breakfast cereals, have vitamins and minerals added for extra nutrition. In fact, the growing interest in health and nutrition has spurred the production of a whole new range of foods with added health and nutritional benefits (called "functional foods") such as fat spreads with added fibre to lower cholesterol.
Processing can also make some nutrients more available. For example, removing phytic acid from grain foods by removing the bran helps to improve the absorption of iron from a food. Processing tomatoes into a tomato paste or sauce increases the amount of lycopene (an antioxidant) that is available to the body.
I went for the winter break(28th Dec,2008 to 3rd Jan,2009) overall it was amazing mind blowing and terrific....... I cant express the whole thing........
Purpose of Winter Break:- Last time when I went for an advance course everybody was telling me that I didn't kept my silence properly, but they wer not understanding this from my perspective.. Then I didn't wanted to miss an advance course specially winter break.
Experience:- My experience was truly amazing even while going to the ashram the silence thing was ringing continuously in the back of my mind.... Well the Silence I broke Twice the first time was i said something in the Satsang to Aditya that's in hindi "tu galat step kar reha hai." and the second time was when Dinesh bhaiya where telling us about when u follow fun misery will follow U, and "When u follow knowledge fun follows U." During the Nature Walk I use to walk like horse or u can say run as well. Each and every Nature Walk i felt connected to the nature such as birds, trees, lake, sand, stones and many more things........ I never felt like saying anything after the silence was broken and people around me were wishing everyone Happy New year........ But I was not interested...... Just being with myself and spreading the knowledge that my only aim in life.
New Year Eve:- Vikram Bhaiya's satsang was amazing. The satsang started at 7:30 and ended at 8:45 and then it again started at 10 pm and ended at 11:45 pm and then bau comes and starts the guru pooja sharp at 11:55 and it ends at 12:15. This was my best new year bcoz i started with chanting the mantras and remembering the Divine....... The satsang was in the VM.... thats the best place to be in the ashram.....
Games and Canteen:- Games which we played on the 3rd of Jan was supercool and thats the time when I got connected to my group..... Then the next day it was the Canteen process which was designed by Bau that we all have make profit of Rupees 40,000 in the canteen and we have to everything including cooking till the end of the process that is washing utensils and I was in the Entertainment team. Me and Sneha performed on a tamil song Appdi Podduh and everybody loved it, including dinesh bhaiya.............
Advance Course just come and experience. Dont be a fool by missing it be COOL. So be there.
